Thanks

Can you describe Macy's rash for me? Where is is located? When did you first notice it? Is he licking or scratching at it?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
It doesn't seem to bother him. It was under the harness on his chest and under arms so I thought it was a reaction to a new thing but he also has it in the inside of his ears

Tried to send image but not sure it went

Ok it does sound like an allergic reaction.

You can give him benadryl. If he is 11 pounds you can give him 1/2 of a 25mg benadryl tablet.

The dose can be repeated every 12 hours as needed.

It would also be a good idea to give him a bath in a gentle shampoo. The allergens can get on the skin and then go through the skin to cause an allergic reaction.

Would it be ok to remove harness and just wait it out after the bath?

Ok I think the rash looks bad enough that he probably needs an antibiotic. It is not an emergency though. You can wait until the regular vet opens in the morning.

Did you read the part about the benadryl? I would do the benadryl too.

And topically you can apply over the counter hydrocortisone cream. It is not toxic if ingested.
