Good Morning and welcome! I am Dr. Loretta, a licensed veterinarian and I am happy to answer your question.
I am so sorry that I did not respond right away...something happened on the site and I could not get in. If Tigger's tail is painful, there is a good chance that he either sprained it or has a broken bone. For now, give Tigger aspirin at 5 mg per pound every 12 hrs. This will decrease the inflammation and if this is merely a sprain, which is the more likely problem, this will start to resolve this. If this continues to be painful for your sweet Tigger, have your vet check this and xray to be sure.Does that make sense to you?
Please let me know if you have ANY other questions. My goal is to give you 100% satisfaction and if you are not yet satisfied, please REPLY so I can clarify for you.Sincerely, ***** *****
No, sorry...it has to be aspirin. Tylenol can be toxic to dogs. You will probably use the Baby aspirin which are 81 mg each. It often will help resolve this if it is minor.
You are very welcome! I hope your sweet Tigger tail feels better soon!!
