Tracie, "jelly" most often indicates colonic mucus which is produced in excess when a colitis exists. If your Shi Tzu is other wise normal, nothing need be done. It's not unusual for excess mucus to be produced occasionally for benign reasons. If a diarrhea arises, you'll have supportive evidence of a colitis which should be attended to by her vet if diarrhea persists for more than 72 hours.
