Customer Question

My 3 yr old Maltese was fine this morning, ate all her food. She is not vomiting and does not have diarrhea. No excessive thirst. She is very lethargic, breathing seems to be shallow. I don't have the ability to take her to the vet until sometime tomorrow morning.

Could Rosie have fallen off of something high or hit her head?

Has she been in your sight all day?

Has she eaten anything unusual?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
She was out of my sight for s few minutes and could have eaten some noxious weeds from my neighbors yard
Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 2 months ago.

Toxic weeds usually have irritating compounds that make a dog vomit or have vomiting/diarrhea.

Does she feel hot. Check her ears, they should feel cool.

I'm sorry but I have to log off now.

If she does feel hot you could give her ½ of a baby aspirin (81mg) every 12 hours.

Definitely take her to your vet tomorrow. she needs a thorough exam to determine why she is so lethargic.

if I have been able to help you kindly rate this service.
