Customer Question

Took my dog in did not look good , vet said had pyometra and neded surgery, had the surgery done , but know he says it was not that and still has the infection, hes not sure what she may have, has kept her for 2 days giving her antibiotics, waiting for a call from him what could this be?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. There are all sorts of infestations from can pick up. I'll have you talk to the Veterinarian who'll sort out what is wrong and help you decide what to do about it. Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about from?

Hi! How are you tonight?

Are you still there?

When your vet did the surgery, she had a uterus full of infection. Since there is a lot of blood, we worry about infection in the blood. Your veterinary likely means that after surgery, your dog still has a fever which means antibiotics are needed for a little while.
