Customer Question

We have a 10 lb puppy that ate 50 mg of Benadryl that was intended for our 65 lb dog. Should we try to make him throw it up? What should we do??

My name is***** and I am sorry to hear that Tucker ate the Benadryl. He did get quite a large dose, so I would recommend making him vomit tonight. How long ago did he eat it? Vomiting only works up to 30 minutes after ingestion.

To make him vomit, give him 1-2tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide by mouth. He should vomit in 5 to 15 minutes.

Does this help? What other questions do you have?

How is Tucker today? Any problems after eating the Benadryl? Do you have any more questions for me?
