He's a 13 y.o. german shephard with DM. Has not walked on his own for about 6 months. Now will drink but wont eat anything, not even favorite foods or treats. Tried plain rice and chicken stock, too. Does not seem to be in pain.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Can you tell me, please, how long Luke has been anorexic? If over 72 hours I have to consider the degenerative disorders we see in a 13 year old large breed such as chronic liver and kidney insufficiency as well as age-related malignancies.
