Dixie may experience transient gastrointestinal distress in the form of inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea but she wasn't intoxicated. Melatonin appears to be remarkably nontoxic to dogs. We've yet to find a toxic dose because the amount given to induce toxicity must be enormous. Our study subjects vomited once their stomachs were distended with so much melatonin! There's no reason to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
