My name is***** and I am sorry to hear that Buttercup is having black poops and pulling out her hair.

Is her feces formed or is it diarrhea? Has there been any food change that could have effected the color of her poop?

What color are her gums, pale, white or red? They should be a medium pink color.

What part of her body is she pulling the hair out from?

Does she seem itchy or does it seem like more of a compulsion?

Does she have any fleas?

When was her last visit to the vet? Did they run any bloodwork?

Please let me know the answers to these questions so that I can help you tonight.

She is not having and diarrahea and her food has not changed. She is pulling her hair out from her back side. As of now the area is about the size of an orange. She does not seem to be itchy and she doesn't have and fleas. Its been a while since I've taken her to the vet.

Okay, that is great information.

Can you check her anal glands? Do they seem full?

Is she having any weight loss recently?
