Thank you for the photo! There appears to swelling around the bleeding hair follicles as well. This would suggest a focal bacterial folliculitis best addressed with a systemic antibiotic in the cephalosporin class such as cephalexin prescribed by her vet to be given for 3-4 weeks and 1 week past clinical signs. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

Sir she weighs 30 kgs .what dose of cephelexine should I give.i also have ceffixime can I give that ?
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 10 months ago.

Cephalexin is dosed at 22 mg/kg twice daily. 500 mg twice daily should suffice for Khushi. Cefixime is usually reserved for more serious infections and is dosed at up to 12.5 mg/kg twice daily. 400 mg twice daily should suffice for Khushi. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
