I am sorry to hear you are worried about Lucy. My name is Rebecca. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.
The most common reason for sudden swelling around the eyes is an allergic reaction to something, often a spider bite or insect bite or sting. Giving her Benadryl should help. How much does she weigh? You can give 25 mg to a 25 pound dog every 2 to 4 hours until the swelling starts to go down. If she is a small dog, childrens liquid Benadryl might be best to give her 1 millgram per pound of her body weight.
Let me know if this helps and what other questions I can answer.
