Customer Question

My dog has diabetes. Is VetSulin for dogs better than Novolin 10ml which is for humans.
Could the Novolin has caused him to go blind?

Linda, the Vetsulin insulin is more similar to the insulin produced by dogs than is the Novolin insulin and so in theory be more effective. Both can be used in dogs, however. The insulin didn't cause blindness. All diabetic dogs are at risk of forming cataracts - even well controlled diabetics - and those cataracts can blind my patients.
