Welcome to Justanswer! I am Dr. Altman and happy to assist you both today!I am sorry to hear about this respiratory change. Is it like a sharp intake of air, a snort, or honk? Is there any nasal discharge?
There are some home remedies that can help reduce the sneeze and give relief
1.) The steam of the shower when the sneeze is severe and/ or constant
2.) A little honey three times daily can help soothe the nasal passages and trachea
3.) If you have a humidifier or nebulizer that would also be wonderful to use in this situation
4.) Benadryl 1 mg/ pound every 8-12 hours but may cause sedationIf there is no change please consider videotaping an episode and having a veterinary exam. With Brady's age I would hate to miss something more subtle such as a nasal infection, tumor, or even nasal mites that can be treated and want to ensure this resolves swiftlyPlease let me know how else I can assist you both todayIf you have more questions or if I can help in any other way, please do not hesitate to ask!
