Hello, my name is***** and I will help you.

But first tell what kind of symptoms is Gelisha (is that her name?) experiencing. Has she been treated for this before?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
she is having problems peeing.
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
How can I get her relief?
Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 4 months ago.

This is may be a bladder infection or a partial a urinary blockage.

Do you mean that she is straining? Does she cry in pain when she is trying to urinate?

Any blood in the urine?

Please be patient with my questions. It is the only way I can help her. I need to find out what is wrong.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
No blood, not crying, but straining a lot
Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 4 months ago.

It does sound like a possible urinary tract blockage. This may be from a bladder stone, a mass pressing on her urethra or even a mass in the urethra.

I'm afraid that your vet has to examine her. He might want an X-ray to see is there are bladder stones.

The only things I can recommend are something for pain, something to help her sleep and lots of water to keep the urine dilute.

If you give me her weight I'll make some recommendations.

Do you have any Tylenol? What strength?

How about Benadryl? What strength?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Neither. What dosage should get.
Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 4 months ago.

Ok, Tylenol: ¼ of a regular strength 325 my tab. Get the uncoated one if you can. Give every 12 hours. This is a painkiller and might make her feel better.

DO NOT USE ALEVE OR MOTRIN

Benadryl:one 25 mg tablet every 8 hours This will make her a little drowsy and help her sleep.

But you do have to take her to your vet tomorrow.

I will check with you tomorrow.

I hope that both you and Bella will have a restful night.

Expert:  Dr Marta Lepes replied 4 months ago.

Sorry about accidentally calling your Galisha by wrong name.

How is she doing? I hope that the Tylenol and Benadyrl made her night more comfortable.

Please let me know how she is after your vet visit.
