Friend, hypoglycemia in small breed dogs generally happens when they are puppies because they do not have all of their hormones developed yet. Once an adult if hypoglycemia is occurring we need to look for an underlying medical disorder. Symptoms associated with hypoglycemia are: Weakness, lethargy, vomiting, disorientation, changes in respiration, seizures, etc.
