Is doxycycline or imidocarb a better treatment foe erlychia

Thank you for your question. Doxycycline is the drug of choice for Ehrlichia in dogs. Imidocarb is for protozoal infections, and Ehrlichia is not a protozoal infection so we would not treat it with imidocarb. We would use imidocarb for an infection of Babesia, but not Ehrlichia.
