Can you clarify "cough fatigue" for me? How long has Minus been coughing? While any age dog can suffer from an acute respiratory infection such as infectious tracheobronchitis ("kennel cough") our older dogs are more at risk for advanced cardiopulmonary diseases such as heartworm disease, congestive heart failure, a sterile bronchitis (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease/COPD), and neoplasia (cancer) in the chest cavity. The West Highland White breed also has a high incidence (risk) of developing pulmonary fibrosis.
