Customer Question

I am keeping my daughter's 5 year old weim, 77 #'s. for a week. They left yesterday. He has had some major health issues in the past. Last night he started pacing about 10 PM, didn't sleep much, this morning ate his vegetarian diet normally, pooped and peed normally but still seems restless. He had some pet valium pills so about 7 AM gave him 1 1/2 which is dose on container. Right now he is laying down finally although did rest sitting between my legs for a little while earlier. I have kept him previously.
Just observe and follow directions on valium 1 1/2 twice a day decreasing or take to emergency vet if he doesn't eat, poop and pee? Nose is cold.
Thanks

I'm not hearing of symptoms that would dictate an ER visit. He may be experiencing separation anxiety rather than a medical disorder; after all, his usual caretakers just left. Are his pet Valium pills actually Valium (diazepam)?
