Customer Question

My 4 year old Pomeranian mix is producing bloody pudding like stools for three days now. The smell is overwhelming. Otherwise, his appetite and demeanor are fine. He is overly active, as most poms are. This morning, however, his nose was warm and dry. We have not limited his food intake, except for people food, which he's not happy about. He is still urinating regularly.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today. How much blood are you seeing? A spoonful, more or less?Is the whole stool bloody? Are his gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky? If you press on his belly, does he have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?Could he have eaten something he should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?
