Customer Question

he keeps groaning, been lying down for more than 8 hours now. not eating , not responding. with little strength at all. and the groan/moans are getting worst. I knw he eats raw meat can that affect him? Or is he poisoned?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Did you see what the dog ate?
Customer: no. we live next to an abattoir, and they usually go there and bring back pieces of meat from there.
JA: Anything else I can tell the Veterinarian before I connect you two?
Customer: its two of them actually that's sick. a 5 month old pup and a 5 year old dog. With similar symptoms
JA: I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Veterinarian about your situation and connect you two.

Such profoundly symptomatic dogs for such a long period of time may well be poisoned or may have contracted a bacterial infection (Salmonella, e.g) from ingesting raw meat but although their symptoms are important ones, they're not pathognomonic (specifically indicative) or any one particular disorder. They are, however serious enough to have an on-call vet attend to your dogs at your earliest convenience. I understand, however, that you may have logistical constraints where you're living. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
