Customer Question

5 year old min pin neutered male, lethargic, vomiting, no appetite, urination not a problem & bowel movements seem to be working fine. Seems extremely thirsty but then it comes up. Had two other episodes like this last year.emergency clinic couldn't find anything last year & neither did the regular vet. Two days now & plan to call vet tomorrow.
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: My name is***** this up! My 5 year old min pin neutered male has been vomiting for two days, no appetite, turns down any treats. Tried hamburger tonight, not interested. Seems lethargic. Not constipated & urinates. Had issues like this last year but after x-rays nothing showed. Seems to be extremely thirsty.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Dog Veterinarians generally expect a deposit of about $19 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

Does he only seem excessively thirsty since the vomiting and anorexia started?

Are his gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on his belly, does he have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Could he have eaten something he should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Has he had any diarrhea?
