My dog is being treated open sore to her leg with neocort

Customer Question

My dog is being treated for a open sore to her leg with neocort cream, she got this sore from her biting her leg as it must have been itching and annoying her, since applying this cream she has become lethargic and some vomiting, she also licks and chews her nails constantly, but this has been going on for a very long time as a separate condition.

Welcome and thanks for asking your question. My name is***** am a licensed veterinarian. I am not set up to make a live call. But, I am happy to answer your question on this thread. First I need to ask you a few questions so that I can be well informed and give you the best advice.

1- Is she still licking the open sore?

2- Any vomiting, diarrhea or coughing?

3- Was she seen by a vet for the sore?

4- Can you take her rectal temperature?
