After eating grapes 8 days ago my 16 lb dachshund/chihuahua

Customer Question

After eating grapes 8 days ago my 16 lb dachshund/chihuahua mix developed serious diarrhea. My vet prescribed Proviable capsules and paste as a remedy plus Tylosin 200mg. I administered these for two days and stopped. Now my dog has not had any bowel movement for 6 days. He is eating and acting normally but I'm concerned about an intestinal blockage that may be at work. How can I remedy this? Thank you.

6 days is a long time to not have a bowel movement. Is there any chance he could have gone in the yard unsupervised and you just didn't see him go #2 or are you pretty certain he hasn't gone?

Hello again, its seems the expert that contacted you initially has gone offline. Still, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

Further to their questions, have you seen Lenny straining like he needs to pass stool?

Any tensing or discomfort if you press on his belly?
