Hi. Welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** Do you know what steroid shot was given? What was the reason for giving it? How old are the puppies?
Steroids in general should be used with caution in nursing dams. Glucocorticoids unbound to plasma proteins will enter milk. High dosages or prolonged administration to mothers may potentially inhibit growth, interfere with endogenous corticosteroid production or cause other unwanted effects in nursing offspring. More than likely a single injection of a steroid wouldn't have that deleterious effects on the pups though.
