Ask a Dog Vet and Get Answers to Your Dog Veterinary Questions
Good Morning and welcome! I am Dr. Loretta, a licensed veterinarian and I am happy to answer your question.
This yellowish discharge at 2 1/2 weeks after her heat cycle, can indicate that she may have a Pyometra. This is an infection in the uterus which is an "open" Pyometra so that the pus is being discharged rather than being held with a closed cervix. Milly may not be pregnant. It is important that you take Milly to your vet as soon as possible for an exam. I say this because this infection can be very serious for Milly and it is important that the cause be determined so Milly can be treated correctly.

Does that make sense to you?
