Hi this is DRB and I will try and help you with this. Why do you think your dog has something caught in the throat? Did he eat something that you think my have gotten stuck?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No he is gaging and barfing. Licking the carpet and his feet.
Expert:  Dr B replied 1 year ago.

Ok, gagging and vomiting does not usually mean there is something caught in the throat......so you did not see him eat anything or get anything he should not have?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No not really. He playing with his toy that he always plays with.
Expert:  Dr B replied 1 year ago.

Can you give me any other information that might help me? When did this start? Is he eating? Is he only occasionally gagging and vomiting or is it constant? Like is he ok at the moment?

Expert:  Dr B replied 1 year ago.

Does he have normal periods between the gagging? If so how long do those last?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
we gave him peanut butter to see if it would help and he ate is fine and drank a lot of water then barfed. but still acting like something is there
Expert:  Dr B replied 1 year ago.

Is he resting right now? What is he doing to suggest he has something caught in his throat? Have you looked down his throat?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
he is constantly licking his feet and the carpet
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
forget it.
Expert:  Dr B replied 1 year ago.

Ok licking his feet and the carpet have nothing to do with him having anything caught in his throat......I am going to allow another expert to help you as this history does not fit your concern. I will re-post your questions. Sincerely, DRB
