My dog's temperature is 104.9, has increased respirations

Customer Question

Customer: My dog's temperature is 104.9, has increased respirations and is lethargic. It seemed to come on this am. She didn't eat her food or drink water all day, but will eat ice and dog treats.
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: She is mos. old, a husky-mix and has been well since I adopted her 2 months ago. She's had all of her shots. Eats approx. 3 cups Kirkland dog food/day and normall drinks a lot of water. I took her on 2 walks today, she seemed tired, but was still playful until this afternoon. She's not playing, laying on her bed. She has had x3 bowel movements today and has urinated quite a bit.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $19) to post your type of question to Dog Veterinary Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

Has she had any gagging, retching, lip licking, or vomiting?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, does she have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, rocks, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Has she had any diarrhea?
