Customer Question

My dog has been on antibiotics for 2 weeks with a suspected bladder infection. Since observing his movements he now seems constipated. He is breathing heavy and has no appetite. No improvement in 2 weeks

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

When did Trevor last pass stool?

Can you confirm he is passing urine?

What tests were done to confirm this suspect bladder infection?

You noted heavy breathing, can you take a breathing rate for me (just count his breaths for 10 seconds + multiply that by 6)?

Are his gums pink or pale/white?
