Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

First, if your dog's body has been chilled, then you could still have an autopsy at this stage. In regards ***** ***** for an autopsy, this depends on where you have it done and what is done (if its just an autopsy, if samples are taken for further analysis, etc). That said, generally speaking an autopsy done by a lab or vet school pathologist will cost between $400-600 for a dog. One done by your local vet may cost less.

Please take care,

Dr. B.
