I took my dog to the vet and he had s blood drawn yesterday.

Customer Question

Hi. I took my dog to the vet and he had his blood drawn yesterday. His legged swelled up after the blood draw so we alternated compression and ice last night and it went down a little and stabilized but, this morning, his ENTIRE leg is incredibly swollen. Should I take him to emergency or wait for his vet to open in an hour...

Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. Is he in distress now? How is he acting?

Expert:  Dr. Gabby replied 1 year ago.

Is he on any medications? Is the leg hot to the touch?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
By the time you replied, we had already seen his vet and were on our way to emergency. He is currently in clinic being treated for toxic exposure. By tomorrow, we should know what toxins we are fighting. Thank you for your reply.

Oh-no I am so sorry to hear that.

I am glad you took him in right away.

Hope he feels better soon.
