My volunteer just gave 3 seven week old pups Advantage Multi

Customer Question

My foster volunteer just gave 3 seven week old pups Advantage Multi orally.

Surprisingly, the pups are likely to remain unaffected. The imidocloprid in Advantage Multi has a large safely margin. Dogs fed imidocloprid at a dose of 15 mg/kg daily for a year caused no adverse effects. Salivation and vomiting are possible but should be transient. The moxidectin in that product is present in such a small amount as to be negligible in terms of toxicity. I would simply "watchful wait" and expect little or no adverse effects to arise in these pups. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

You're welcome. I can't set a follow-up in this venue and so would appreciate your returning to our conversation with an update - even after rating - at a time of your choosing.
