Hi, I can help you with your question today. Vomiting can be caused by a large number of problems ranging from eating something unusual (human food, garbage) or foreign body ingestion to gastroenteritis.
How is he behaving?
How long ago did he vomit in the car?
Do you think there is any chance that he had the opportunity to chew up a toy, get into the garbage, or eat a food that he doesn't usually get?
We do not commonly see contagious GI viruses, but did they mention if anyone else had been ill?
Wow, OK. I highly recommend you get him to an emergency hospital now. I would start with a physical exam, blood work, and x-ray of his abdomen. I'm worried about metabolic diseases like Addisons and physical conditions like bloat and GDV.
Since he is already recumbent, I do not think it is a good idea to try to manage his condition at home. This could be very serious.
I can't say with certainty, but it's possible.
Hopefully it won't be that serious, but I think we are risking serious consequences if he isn't seen tonight.
How is Tyson doing today?
