Please clarify your question. Are you concerned that your poodle mix has a persistently elevated respiratory rate at rest?

NO- STARTED TODAY AFTER HE TRIPPED ON THE STAIRS MOVING ABOUT NO OTHER PHYSICAL PROBLEMS DID NOT EAT DINNER -WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF PACKING TO MOVE - HE IS VERY SENSITIVE-THOUGHT HE WAS JUST REACTING

I have to assume that his rapid breathing, then, is the result of pain. The only safe over the counter pain medications for him are aspirin dosed at 10 mg/lb with food twice daily or acetaminophen dosed at 7 mg/lb thrice daily. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
