My boxer is 11 years old and has had megaesphogus almost all

Customer Question

My boxer is 11 years old and has had megaesphogus almost all his life. He is now not eating as well as he was, has arthritis pain in rear flanks, has, malaise and is lethargic. He just finished a with a bout of antibiotics and metronidazole. Bet said tests came back ok, but urine was cloudy. I do not want him to suffer (he has been my best friend). Sometimes he seems a little better, so I've been delaying the inevitable. Amy thoughts?

Hi. Welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** and I've been a veterinarian for 15 years. I'm sorry to hear about Bubba's situation. Has your vet done any medications for arthritis with him recently to see if that helps him feel better?
