Customer Question

My boyfriend gave my dog a crust of toast. One of the ingredients is raisins. Not whole raising, but I guess they are just ground up in the mixture to make the bread. This ingredient is near the bottom of the ingredient list. Do I need to be worried?

Hi there, this is Dr. Gabby.

No, you do not need to worry.

A big dog like a Rottie would need to eat about one cup of raisins before toxicity would be an issue.

So you do not need to worry at all.

I would not expect any symptoms or trouble.

I hope this helps.
