Thank you for your question. My name is***** I have been a small animal veterinarian for 13 years.

Very little is know about the effects of ciallis in dogs, but at low doses it does not seem to have any severe effects. Can you give me a ballpark weight for your dog. 50 pounds?

Expert:  Dr. Stacy replied 1 year ago.

If she is 50 pounds then a single pill would not be expected to cause any side effects other that a mild stomach upset. I hope that helps, but if you have additional questions or if she is less than 50 pounds please let me know,

She is 59 lbs and seems to be ok. Just curios because we just got over an over dose of xylitol
Expert:  Dr. Stacy replied 1 year ago.

Xylitol is very toxic in dogs. Ciallis seems to work the same in dogs as people so one dose isn't a big deal.
