Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before.Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your situation, and wanted to help.

Now this is a website where we can offer veterinary advice but do not have clinic local to you and it is not legal for us to write prescriptions (since we cannot see pets in person). So, an appointment with one of us is not possible. Still, to aid you in your situation, I do want to note some options that may be of help. First, since you mentioned a fla pill, I would note that you can buy Capstar over the counter at your vets, some pet stores, or even online (example). So, that is worth considering if costs are an issue. Of course, if Muffin has fleas again, then remember that you need to also treat the house to prevent reinfection. And if you do, make sure to use an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) house treatment. That way you kill the adult fleas but also prevent the eggs/larvae from developing and causing issue a few weeks later.

Finally, if veterinary visits are financially difficult for you, then we do have a few options. First, I would note that both VCA + Banfield offer a free 1st consult offer (so that could offset the cost of the visit). You can find their vouchers @:

VCA (Voucher: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/offer) or

Banfield (Voucher: http://www.banfield.com/landing-pages/coupon?)

As well, the Humane Society (http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html)and ASPCA (https://www.aspca.org/about-us/faq/financial-help-my-vet-bills) both have good databases of charities and low cost clinics that could help you get her rabies vaccine and check-up for a price you can afford.

I hope this information is helpful.

If you need any additional information, do not hesitate to ask!

All the best,

Dr. B.
