The list of things that can trigger immune mediated disease is long. It usually includes vaccines and some antibiotics. NSAIDs, such as Rimadyl is not generally considered a drug that would trigger autoimmune disease, however there have been some cases of people on it developing immune mediated thrombocytopenia.

So, the complicated answer to your question is... Yes, Rimadyl can trigger autoimmune disease, but it would be considered to be very, very rare.
