This is a very well-tolerated drug in dogs. How much does your maltipoo weigh, please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
8 pounds

Thank you. 25 mg represents a 3X overdose but isn't expected to cause more than gastrointestinal distress - vomiting and/or diarrhea in addition to its diuretic effect. Make sure water is available and an electrolyte replacer such as the infant Pedialyte (or generic) added to her water will be helpful in preventing acute electrolyte (sodium, potassium) imbalances. The pharmacokinetics of this drug haven't been studied in dogs but you can expect a diuretic effect for up to 12 hours.

I have to leave my computer for the night but promise to reply in the morning if need be. I'll opt out which will allow other experts to enter this conversation in case you need to consult further.
