Do you know if the lens luxated forward into the front of the eye, or back? If it luxated forward, that is more likely to cause cloudiness, and can cause vision loss.
Dog are not completely colorblind, but they do not see color as well as we do. Having a lens luxation can affect vision, but any vision that remains should see color as normally as dogs see color.

If he is blind, it could affect depth perception, but most dogs with vision in only one eye usually do well.
It is unlikely he has any vision in his left eye.
