My female delivered one dead pup. She pulled at the placenta

My female delivered one dead pup. She pulled at the placenta and ate it. Is she done?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. There's no relationship between the bitch ingesting the placenta and whether or not there are more pups inside her. Most important, she could be in trouble if active stage 2 labor (active contractions) lasts more than 1 hours without producing a pup or more than 3 hours pass between pups without active contractions. If you're concerned that more pups may be inside her, her vet can palpate your dog's abdomen and either X-ray or ultrasound it to better understand what next to expect.

Please give me an update on her. I have to leave my computer for the night but I promise to reply in the morning if need be.
