I have been treating my min. Poodle for 7 weeks with erythromycin for mrsa. He is not improving to any great extent. What would you recommend that I try next?

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you are worried about Koko. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.

Where on her body is the infection?

How was the MRSA diagnosed?

What are you bathing him in?

Sorry for all the questions! Since I can't see and examine him and do not have access to his medical records, the more you can tell me the more I can help you. Rebecca

If it is a skin infection, the topical antibiotic mupirocin, which is by prescription, can be very helpful against MRSA.

Bathing in chlorhexidine is recommended, from what I am reading.
