Ask a Dog Vet and Get Answers to Your Dog Health Questions
Good Morning and welcome! I am Dr. Loretta, a licensed veterinarian and I am happy to answer your question.
Poor little Cowboy lost that round to your cat....it is better if the part of the ear is torn,, to have your vet examine this and suture this area. You have done great so far...clean the ear with peroxide and then apply Neosporin or another antibiotic creme. If you do this every 8 hrs, this may all that needs to be done but watch it closely for teh first few days watching for infection or pus...then your vet will prescribe antibiotics.
Does that make sense to you?
Please let me know if you have ANY other questions. My goal is to give you 100% satisfaction and if you are not yet satisfied, please REPLY so I can clarify for you.Sincerely, ***** *****
