My dog just ingested about a tablespoon of Weedman organic

Customer Question

my dog just ingested about a tablespoon of Weedman organic soil enhancement product. I suspect that this is mostly manure. She is a Havanese about 12 pounds. Should we induce vomiting?

Hello there. I am sorry to hear that Izzie is trying to get herself into trouble this evening. I am happy to help you this evening. These products are usually natural materials such as decaying leaves and lawn clippings and even manure. They are not usually toxic and do not cause any side effects when small amounts are eaten. I would monitor her closely at this point and time and would not induce vomiting if she only ate the organic product. You most likely will not see any negative side effects. She could vomit on her own just from eating something she isn't used to but this shouldn't be more than a couple times. If she vomits more than 3 times or has diarrhea more than 24 hours have her seen by your vet. Inducing vomiting is a good tool but comes with its own risk and in this situation i do not think she needs to have vomiting induced.

I hope this helps and I hope this makes sense. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or concerns. I would be happy to help. Please do not forget to rate my response so I receive credit for my time. Thank you!
