2 nights in a row our 14 week old bulldog has been waking up

Customer Question

2 nights in a row our 14 week old bulldog has been waking up and vomiting a few minutes after she goes to sleep at night. What could be causing this? Should I take her to the vet tomorrow morning?

Hello,
Thank you for requesting me! I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.
There are many possible reasons for this vomiting. One could be excess stomach acid, and you could try giving her some Pepcid AC (famotidine) at bedtime to see if that helps. The dose is 5 mg per 15 to 20 pounds of body weight.
If the problem continues or gets worse, having her checked by her veterinarian is a good idea.
Let me know how she is doing and what else I can answer or help with.
