Hi there. My name is ***** ***** I'm happy to help you with your question today. Just like an in person consult, I have some questions of my own to help ensure I give you the best advice possible...

How old is your pup?

How long has he been doing this?

How big is that knot?

Any vomiting or diarrhea?

Any possibility of injury or trauma?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
He is 16 weeks old
He just did it after dinner a few hours ago
Umm about the size of my Palm, fingers not included
No vomiting really, he was dewormed a couple weeks ago and his bowels are beginning to solidify, he seems a little constipated though, he tries to have a movement but very little comes out
No

Is there any possibility he ate something unusual?
Does he get bones, rawhides or people food?

Is his belly hard to the touch at all?

Is he eating normally?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Possibly
No people food, he sometimes steals his older brothers braided bully bones
Only where the knot is
Yes, he loves food and always wants more

Okay...great. Thanks for the additional information. I really appreciate it.

I was initially concerned about something like an intestinal blockage, but since the issue only happened the once after eating, and he's mostly otherwise acting normally, I don't think that's what the problem is.

The bump on his side could be many different things that range from bug bites to even injury or trauma from playing with his older brother.

I think at this point, the best plan is to just monitor him and see if that lump changes, or if he does any more of the crying after eating. If he doesn't then it's something worth having the vet take a peek at, but since it only happened the one time...I'm not really expecting to have it happen again.

I hope this helps.
