My dog has an infection on his face, likely an abscess...it's red, has pus, can feel a knot under skin where infection is.. I have been putting peroxide, neosporin, and steroid ointment on it, but not getting better.. I have doxycycline 100mg and is that ok to give to my dog.. A lab, approx 60 lbs. and not sure how to keep him from scratching it
