Our dog, an older pug, suffers from acid reflux, especially at night. Can we give her an antacid?

Hello. Thanks for the question. Yes, you can give an antacid. The one I use most often, is Famotidine (Pepcid). The dose I use in dogs is 0.25 - 0.5 mg per lb body weight. In a typical sized pug, I would probably go with 1/2 of a 10 mg tab every 12-24 hours, as needed. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
