Hello, thanks for writing in. Vectra does have a wide margin of safety, but there is still a potential for neurologic toxicity if they are sensitive to the medication in the preventative. I would be more concerned about the pyrethrins or permethrins if listed on as an active ingredient. To be on the safe side, I would give him a bath with Dawn dish soap or another comparable dish soap. You can give a couple bathes tonight and even repeat tomorrow to ensure it is all washed off.
