We washed my dog first time puppy . She gone quiet

Customer Question

Hi we washed my dog for the first time puppy . She gone quiet since and lethargic. Her eyes are red rimmed in the socket lining if that makes sense ? Could this be an allergic reaction or maybe she's eaten something ?

Aloha! You're speaking to Dr. Michael Salkin
I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. I can understand Mia's eyes reddening if shampoo found its way into them. An allergic reaction to a shampoo usually manifests as an intensely pruritic (itchy) dog, however. Can you tell me what the active ingredients were in the shampoo, please?

Hi, Thanks for the response. She ended up being fine the morning after and back to being a happy pup. K
